The Tiger King is neither about Tigers nor Kings. But it is an excellent caricature of what happens when we fall into the sin of pride. Also, what else are we gonna talk about? Because its not going to be that OTHER thing.
On this week’s episode, Caleb and Danny talk about the thing other than the one pandemic-y thing going around; The Tiger King. This eccentric cast of character involving wild animals and a murder for hire plot has enraptured the world with its overly compelling story. But for all their quirks they provide a picture of a life surrendered to the three sins of life.
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. (1 John 2:15-17, ESV)
