Nobody Special 133 | Presidential Debates and Loving One Another
Breathe in. Breathe out. Andrew Steier from Student Gospel Outreach drops by to guest host. So naturally, we talk about the peaceful subject of the first Presidential Debate. Breathe in. Breathe out. It’s gonna be alright.
The first presidential debate has occurred and America seems to be almost in agreement, that was a dumpster fire of a debate. Andrew and Danny discuss the impact of the debate and the example being set by the leadership of both potential presidents. Then we turn our attention to what it means to demonstrate the love of Christ in this circumstance. We have an opportunity to be the light of the world to those around us by showing the world the love we have founded on the hope of Jesus Christ.
When he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and glorify him at once. Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You will seek me, and just as I said to the Jews, so now I also say to you, ‘Where I am going you cannot come.’ A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:31-35, ESV)
