Nobody Special 127 | Inappropriate Children’s Dolls and Trust

Caleb is back and definitely not recasted. So the boys take the time to talk about what anyone would talk about… over sexualizing children through toys and Netflix movies.

Children’s toys of Trolls and LOL dolls, along with the Netflix Movie Cuties, have made the new recently for either flaws in their design or their blatant sexualization of children. For the Christian, while we should be outraged, we should protect our children and train them up in the Gospel while still proclaiming the Gospel to the world.

“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”‭(‭John‬ ‭15:18-19‬ ‭ESV)‬‬

Then we talk about trust and whether we should trust other people and how that compares with trusting God. Should these even be the same word and what would the new word be?
