Nobody Special 026: I Guess We Are Talking About Logan Paul

This week the boys of Nobody Special talk about what is going on in their lives and then realize that nothing is really going on.  At least nothing that would necessitate a daily vlog.  Truly, we live boring lives.  Although, occasionally, we have to deal with the issue of comments made about Danny’s weight.  So we take this opportunity to learn how to support one another during difficult times.  Exercising is terrible.  Just saying.

Also, we look at the current and ongoing scandal of Logan Paul. We look at why people subscribe to him and what the appeal is.  Also, we look at what the Christian response to these types of scenarios should be.  Grace and truth should be extended to everyone no matter what they do.  Even if what they do is horrifying.

Hope: Sins Defeated

God’s goal is not to merely keep us from sinning.  This missing the grand purpose of Christ’s coming.  Just as wiping the dirt of clothes does not make them clean, getting us to stop sinning does not mean we are sanctified.  The purpose of Christ’s coming was to return us to Him, fully and completely.  Our sin separated us from the holiness of God.  The hope in our victory over sin rests fully in the work of Jesus Christ having already conquered sin.

Holy Week: Easter and Our Eternity

I will never be able to fully comprehend the pain and suffering that Christ endured on the cross. Yet that is precisely the point. I am not supposed to understand fully. Christ, taking my punishment on my behalf, took what was rightfully mine so that I would not have to carry it. After all, I don’t have the ability to do so. From His sacrifice, though, I put to death my flesh and am crucified with Christ, not to earn His love, but in response to it.
